OBJECTIVE (STATUTORY PURPOSE):
Stichting DICON International is a non-profit foundation registered in the Netherlands with the aim of promoting sustainable development, climate resilience, human rights, social justice, and poverty reduction globally. As a public-benefit organization, we dedicate our resources exclusively to improving the well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities.
Our statutory purpose is to:
Provide humanitarian aid and support disaster risk reduction
Promote climate adaptation and sustainability
Strengthen vulnerable communities through education, healthcare, and livelihood development
Protect human rights and promote social justice
Ensure food security and reduce poverty

Governance Principles
Board members receive no financial benefits
No conflict of interest is permitted
Board decisions require majority approval
Daily operations may be delegated to staff or volunteers
REMUNERATION POLICY
Board Members:
Board members receive no remuneration for their work. They may be reimbursed only for reasonable, actual expenses incurred in carrying out their duties. No salaries, attendance fees, bonuses, or other compensations are paid to board members. (In accordance with Article 4.7 of the statutes)
Staff and Volunteers:
Staff may be compensated according to applicable Dutch laws or collective agreements when employed. Volunteers may receive expense reimbursement for actual costs incurred.
Activities (Planned & Initial Phase)
Planned activities for Year 1 ( 2025-2026 ):
Establish partnerships with NGOs, local governments, and international bodies
Develop pilot programs in climate education, community resilience training, and human rights awareness
Conduct needs assessments in disadvantaged and marginalized regions
Launch fundraising and donor engagement campaigns
Develop training materials for human rights and sustainability modules
Organize online seminars and awareness campaigns
Expected Activities – Years 2-3 (2026-2028):

⦁ Launch climate action and sustainable livelihood programs
⦁ Provide support to vulnerable groups affected by disasters or conflict
⦁ Conduct monitoring and evaluation of ongoing programs
⦁ Produce yearly impact and financial reports

Asset Management (Reserve Policy):
A modest reserve may be held for:
Financial continuity – Ensuring ongoing obligations and operational stability

Multi-year projects – Securing project financing across multiple years
Reserves are kept to a reasonable level, not exceeding one year’s operating costs, in line with ANBI guidelines.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
DICON International publishes annual financial statements that include:
Balance sheet
Statement of income and expenditures
Explanation of how funds were spent on public-benefit purposes
Annual financial reports will be published on this website within six months after the end of each financial year (ANBI requirement).
Fundraising Policy
CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
Board members must disclose any private interest in matters before the board
Board members cannot participate in decisions where a conflict of interest exists
All contracts with related parties must be approved unanimously
Breaches must be reported and can lead to dismissal
DISSOLUTION CLAUSE
In the event of dissolution of Stichting Development Inter-Cooperation International, any remaining positive balance (liquidation surplus) shall be transferred in its entirety to another public benefit organization (ANBI) with a similar objective. Alternatively, the surplus may be transferred to a foreign institution that exclusively or almost exclusively serves the public good and pursues a similar purpose to that of our foundation. (In accordance with Article 12.6 of the statutes)
